The first team's hopes of winning the junior cup were dashed on Saturday after slipping to a 3-2 defeat at home to Tummery Athletic. Star got off to a disasterous start when they found themselves 3-0 down in the first 10 mins. Despite dominating the match and making countless chances the Star could not convert them chances and could only get 2 goals back. Despite going out of the Junior Cup the star's season is still very much alive and they can now concentrate on winning 2A and the Cochrane & Corry Cup.
