CRUMLIN STAR 5-1 MOSSLEY On Saturday Crumlin Star handed Mossley their heaviest defeat of the season to go top of the table. With the second team also top of their league the furture's looking bright for the club. Although the Star fell behind to an early goal it wasn't long before they hit their stride and equalised through McKervey after Devenny was bundled over in the box. A few minutes later Star took the lead when Paul Brown headed home a McKervey free kick. At times the Star were opening up the Mossley defence at will and not long before half time Devenny made it 3-1 driving home a Braniff through ball. H/T 3-1 The second half continued as the first ended with the Star on top and only for the Mossley keeper it could've been double figures. But the big keeper couldn't do nothing about the Stars fourth as Brown sent him the wrong way after a great flick on from Mark Mooney. With the game as good as won, manager Hawkins made a few changes bringing on Clarke and McConnell and both where involved in the final goal for McKervey to claim his second of the day. FT 5/1
