                                                                                        Crumlin Star 3-1 Ford

Last Tuesday the Star played Ford in another semi final, this time it was the Cochrane & Corry Cup with the Star running out 3-1 winners. Two wonder goals from Paul Brown and Joe Gormley gave the Star a 2-0 half time lead. Ford came out fighting in the second half and got a deserved goal back when Byrne scored from a corner. Joe Gormley then made it 3-1 with 15 minutes to go after some good work by Toner on the wing. The Star will now meet Imaculata in a repeat of last years final.

                                                                               Newtonbreda 0-0 Crumlin Star

On Saturday the star traveled to Newtonbreda for a league fixture and put in one of their worst performances in a while. Although they where missing a few players the team still had enough quality on the pitch to secure a win. Devenny, Gormley and Whelan all missed guilt edge chances as the Star looked stale in front of goal. In fact the home side could've snatched all three points late on but their substitute fired over when put through on goal. The Star where on a 29 game winning steak in 2A and now have to lift their heads and start over again.

                                                                            Crumlin Star 5-2 Grange Rangers

On Tuesday the Star entertained Ballyclare side Grange Rangers in a league fixture. After going 1-0 up early on through Reid the Star found themselves 2-1 down ten minutes later with the away side's only real two efforts on goal all game. A big response was required and the Star delivered with some excellent team goals through Dam Whelan, Paul Brown & Seamy Nellis to send the Star in at half time 4-2 up. The second half the home side never really got troubled as they played some excellent stuff and passed the ball around the pitch excellently at times. Anto Braniff added a fifth goal late on to make the final score 5-2 to the Star.
