CRUMLIN STAR II 2 - 0 QUEENS GUADS II

The seconds got their second win of the season with a comfortable win against Queens Grads II at Mallusk. Star started the match very brightly and played some nice passing football however lacked a killer edge in the final third of the pitch. However Star did make the break through when Whelan made a clever run behind the defence and poked the ball pass the goalkeeper. Star missed numerous chances before the break and O' Dwyer made an excellent save when their striker was through one on one to keep the score at 1-0. H/T 1-0

Star again started the second half strongly and doubled their advantage when Cairns beat 2 defenders and finished well into the bottom corner. Star once again had numerous chances to increase their lead however they could not capitalize. Manager Scully was pleased with the win and the football his players played.
