It wasn'tuntil late in the second half that the Star secured all 3 points when they where awarded a penalty for hand ball, Gormley stepped up and seen his effort excellently saved by the away teams keeper but Gormley was first to the rebound and he blasted the ball into the roof of the net to make it 2-0 to the Star.
Ford 0-3 Crumlin Star When the fixtures where given out weeks ago this was billed as the toughest game that both team had left but with injuries to the Star's team and Ford resting most of their players due to their Junior Cup commitments it was more like a game from 3B rather than a 2A fixture. Gormley had the chance to give the Star the lead early on from the spot but blasted over, this was the only real effort on goal in what was a poor first half. The second period was a more open game with the Star just shading it. Mooney came of the bench to open the scoring in the 70th minute when he headed home a Reid cross. Gormley then doubled the Star's lead soon after when he broke clear and made no mistake with his finish. Mooney rounded of the scoring with a close range finish to send the Star 4 points clear at the top with 2 games in hand.
